Insight NACS Global Convenience Benchmarks 2008

This year's Insight/NACS Global Convenience conference focuses on the latest developments in convenience formats and the major themes of Product Innovation, Local, Environment, Fresh and Foodservice. Musgrave, Tesco, BP, SUBWAY, BWG (SPAR Ireland), Topaz, Albert Heijn, Food Lover's Market, Merrychef, Barry's and HIM! will be presenting at our main conference.

Retailers and suppliers will also have the option to join our convenience study tours to visit retailer HQ's and see the latest in C-store distribution, C&C and convenience retail. We will be running store, DC and C&C study tours in Cork, Dublin and Belfast on 10th, 11th and 13th March. These will include visits to BWG's new SPAR Express forecourt, newest EUROSPAR, Musgrave's new SuperValu and Centra, the exciting new Topaz forecourt/restaurant site, the brand new M&S Deli Bar and Restaurant concepts, Sainsbury's and award winning Henderson Retail concepts in Belfast. Delegates can attend all tours or select the days most appropriate to them.

All transport between Cork, Dublin and Belfast venues is included in prices. We can also help arrange hotel accomodation for delegates.

Global Benchmarks Store Tour Options

BAROThis year we're running three days of C-store tours on the 10th, 11th and 13th March in Cork, Dublin and Belfast, sponsored by BARO lighting. The island of Ireland features some of the most exciting and innovative convenience developments globally. Stores on our tours include the winner of the 2007 RIA Global Convenience Format of the year. All transport between Cork, Dublin and Belfast venues is included in prices. We can also help arrange hotel accomodation for delegates.

C-Store Tour in County Cork

Option One: Monday 10th March, C-Store Tour in County Cork, the home of acclaimed Convenience experts Musgrave and Barry's Group
will visit Musgrave Group HQ in Cork and the Barry Group HQ in nearby Mallow. Musgrave Group now serves more than 3,000 stores in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Great Britain and Spain. Barry's Group is one of the leading Cash & Carry and Wholesale distributors in Ireland. We will also visit the latest C-stores including the exciting new Musgrave SuperValu format, Musgrave Centra and Barry's latest Costcutter stores and 125,000 sq ft distribution hub. Delegates will then travel 1st class by train to Dublin with our group.

C-Store Tour in Dublin

Option Two: Tuesday 11th March, C-Store Tour in Dublin
will begin with a store briefing at the Gresham hotel and will take in the latest world class convenience formats in the Dublin market including; the new SPAR Express forecourt store with drive through, an innovative new EUROSPAR, Musgrave SuperValu and Centra, ADM Londis, a new large forecourt/service station format from Topaz featuring touch screen ordering and a 70 seater restaurant, plus FRESH, Superquinn, an expanded DF Deli, a Petrogas/Applegreen and Exxon Mobil On the Run/Nine One One. Our visits will be rounded off by a post study tour dinner at Donnybrook Fair.

C-Study Tour in Belfast

Option Three: Thursday 13th March, C-Study Tour in Belfast
Travelling by coach from Dublin to Belfast, delegates will visit Marks & Spencer's Lisburn store to view brand new food concepts including the Deli Bar, located in the food hall, full service 250 seat restaurant and cafe offers. Also included will be a large Sainsbury's food hall, award winning Henderson Retail with its Kitsu noodle, Treehouse juice bars, Tim Horton's kiosks, SUBWAY concessions and large EUROSPAR forecourts, Musgrave's latest Belfast stores and a look at their new Cash and Carry Depot featuring an innovative new "store friendly" merchandising layout.
