  The NACS Show is the world's largest event for the convenience and petroleum industries. The show has over 1300 exhibitors, 60 targeted workshops led by prominent industry leaders and networking opportunities with key players from the Global C-Store market. After leaving the White House in 2001, he established the William J. Clinton Foundation to help strengthen the capacity of people throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence.

The Insight/NACS tour this year will include a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear President Bill Clinton speak. In addition to attending the NACS International Conference and the NACS Show EXPO, our study tour will be visiting some of the key convenience industry retail stores in Las Vegas, including: Tesco Fresh & Easy, Walmart's smaller format 'Neighborhood Market', Safeway's new smaller format 'Lifestyle', Whole Foods, Terrible Herbst, Green Valley Grocery, Albertson's Express, Sinclair, Short Line Express, City Stop, and Trader Joe's.

In particular, we will be focusing on US “Convenience plus” formats and the latest developments at Tesco Fresh & Easy and its nearest competitors; Wal-Mart Neighbourhood Market and Safeway’s new Lifestyle store. With self checkout now becoming the ‘checkout of choice’ for as many as 40% of shoppers in some European convenience multiple chains, Fresh & Easy’s decision to go 100% self scanning looks increasingly globally relevant. Steve Ryder, Store Design & Planning Director at Tesco Fresh & Easy, will be giving us an overview prior to our visit to a Fresh & Easy store in Las Vegas.
