Global Convenience Store Focus

Insight Global Convenience Store FocusInsight also produce a monthly online E-zine featuring the hottest developments in international convenience store retailing. The Global Convenience Store Focus web publication was first launched in October 2008. It is edited by experienced UK trade journalist Fiona Briggs and is published to a Insight global database of over 100 countries and 21,000 senior convenience and petroleum retail contacts.

Each month we deliver essential c-store news from around the globe, new format innovations, market data and analysis plus insight, opinions and comment from leading executives in the sector. Global C-Store Focus is a unique service from Insight, designed to help convenience retailers and suppliers grow their businesses by sharing and highlighting best practice. We have generated considerable international interest over the last year particularly with our “store review” videos benchmarking new Tesco, Waitrose, Applegreen and Pick n Pay C-store formats and our International Convenience Retailer of the Year award.

International Convenience Retailer of the Year awardThis exciting new accolade generated entries from Musgrave, Topaz, Sainsbury’s, Pick n Pay South Africa, Mercator Slovenia, Fair Price Singapore and Spar International/China. Online profiles of the entries generated a huge amount of interest online and the final vote, which allowed readers to pick their winner, generated over 2,000 votes. Our January 2010 edition of Global C-Store Focus will see the culmination of this effort with an airplay produced, Imperial Tobacco sponsored film of the winning SPAR China store which we shot in Dongguan City, in Guangdong province, China.
