President Clinton to Speak at NACS Show in Las Vegas
June 9, 2009
President Bill Clinton, who served two terms as the 42nd president of the United States during a time of tremendous prosperity and change, will be a Closing General Session speaker on 23 October.
Since leaving the White House in 2001, President Clinton established the William J. Clinton Foundation to help strengthen the capacity of people throughout the world to meet the challenges of global independence.
In addition to providing a unique opportunity to hear President Clinton present, the NACS Show has a number of other events of great interest to delegates. The Insight/NACS international tour group, meanwhile, will feature an international conference, networking dinners and receptions, plus a best-practice study tour to Tesco’s Fresh & Easy, Wal-Mart’s new Neighborhood Market format, Safeway’s new Lifestyle smaller format, Terrible Herbst, Albertson’s Express, City Stop and others.

The NACS Show and ancillary events are considered invaluable to those who have attended in the past. “I attended the 2007 NACS Study Tour and found the event inspirational – great networking opportunities, great stores and inspirational speakers,” said Paul Whittaker, trade marketing manager with The Wrigley Company.
"It was time well spent and I got a great feel for the US retail environment in a very short time,” said Whittaker. “The whole event was well organised and enabled me to relax and focus on increasing my knowledge and bringing learning back to the UK.”
