Spar Revamps French Own Label Wines
September 1, 2009
Spar has revamped its French own label wines in the first phase of a complete range redesign.
The makeover introduces new wines, including a Rose, and a new ‘family’ look featuring cream labels and a woodcut illustration of a French rural scene.

Spar's new wine
The wines are sourced from the vineyards around the mediaeval city of Carcassonne in the Languedoc region in the south of France.
Spar said its wine buyer, Dror Nativ, has been working closely with the head winemaker at FDL (Fiee de Lois), Jean-Rene Bahuaud, to create a range of wines that are the best examples from the region and offer great value for money.
Nativ said: "The Languedoc is a fantastic source for good quality varietal wines and we are proud to launch this range as the first under new packaging."
The new range comprises a Chardonnay, Syrah Rose, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot. RSP is £4.99 each. The French range will be on promotion 8-28 October 2009 for £3.99 each.
